Real People. Real Results.

Tricia
This course was amazing! As an accountant, I have a strong interest in this area and chose to do the full course with my high school junior and freshman. They could have easily done the course on their own, but I wanted to be able to add my own thoughts and real life experiences in along the way. The topics were covered very well, and the videos were great! We loved George Kamel as the main host. He cracked us up! I would highly recommend it for high school students.

Been teaching it for a few weeks now, videos are short, to the point and funny! The workbook is a great way to engage with what was just watched, and the assignments aren't too overwhelming and are done with purpose. Would reccomend for anyone needing a high school math or finance class for their student.

My 16 year old son is taking this class as part of his homeschool curriculum and he loves it. School isn't his first love, but he always makes this class his first of the day. He likes the idea of working for himself and has learned a lot from it. Highly recommend!

When my summer students took the assessment, they were surprised by the results. Meaningful conversations followed both at work and at home. Their parents also noted the positive impact the financial and career courses had on their children.

Frequently Asked Questions

Both versions cover the same core video lessons and textbook content—the difference is in how they're built to be used.

The homeschool editions are designed for individual or co-op use at home, with a shared parent/student account and a self-guided structure. They include fewer activities than the classroom versions, and each is built for a single student rather than a group. Foundations in Personal Finance: Homeschool Edition also includes optional devotionals and a case study for each chapter.

The classroom versions include individual student logins, teacher management tools through Ramsey Classroom, and group-based activities designed for a traditional classroom environment—72 in Foundations in Personal Finance and 49 in Foundations in Economics.

Foundations in Personal Finance and Foundations in Economics can be taught in one semester or over a full year. The classroom edition includes 45-, 90- and 180-day pacing guides, while the homeschool edition includes a 39-week pacing guide based on 3–5 hours per week.

The curriculum is built to be self-guided. Students can watch lessons, take pre-tests, read chapters and complete activities on their own. But it works just as well as a parent-led course.

No. The fully digital product includes a digital textbook. We recommend the physical textbook if your student learns best with pen and paper, or will want to reference the content after their online access expires.

For the print and digital product, wait for your textbooks to arrive then activate using the included voucher code. For the fully digital product, you'll receive a voucher code and set-up instructions by email. Have more questions? Visit the help center.

You have two options. You can purchase the homeschool product for your child individually or connect with your co-op administrator about bringing Ramsey Education curriculum into the co-op classroom.

Foundations in Personal Finance includes quotes from a wide range of sources, including financial experts, historical leaders and classical texts such as the Bible. When biblical texts appear, they're handled in a way that meets constitutional guidelines for public schools—no religious instruction, no proselytizing. Foundations in Personal Finance: Homeschool Edition also includes optional devotionals, one per chapter, for families who want to explore the biblical perspective on finances.

Homeschool pricing covers one student with add-ons available for each additional child. Classroom pricing is based on the total number of students and is often the better fit for co-ops.

There's no bulk discount for the homeschool product. If you're purchasing for 10 or more students, reach out to one of our curriculum advisors at 877-410-3283. They’ll help you find the best fit!
