We tried to beat you to all the questions you could possibly ask about using the RamseyTrusted® brand (that’s why this page is so long). But if you can’t find your answer here, send us an email through the Request Approval button above.
Logo Stuff
-
Should I use both the RamseyTrusted and the ELP logo?
-
Nope! As we transition the brand, we want to turn the volume up on RamseyTrusted and down on ELP. We’ve already done this when we talk to the referrals we send your way, so let’s make that handoff as smooth as possible by sticking to just the RamseyTrusted logo.
-
Is there anywhere I shouldn’t use the logo?
-
Please don’t use it for any digital paid advertising (like when you buy ads on Facebook, LinkedIn, Google, etc.). And if you’ve still got that ELP logo, don’t use it anywhere.
Keep in mind that the better our brand looks–-the better you’ll look as a RamseyTrusted pro. So before you put anything out in the wild, send it for approval to rtmarketingapprovals@ramseysolutions.com. -
Can I add the logo to my email signature?
-
Go for it! We suggest using the SVG file type that you’ll see in the logo zip file. That will look best.
-
Can I co-brand my business logo with the Ramsey logos?
-
Yes, but we suggest sticking with the social assets we gave you here that have a designated spot for your business logo. Otherwise, send them to rtmarketingapprovals@ramseysolutions.com for approval.
Remember: You are the RamseyTrusted pro, not your entire business. So when co-branding, your materials should make it clear that you’re the only one with the designation
-
Can I make a few edits to the logo? Like adding my company colors?
-
Nope, sorry. Feel free to co-brand your company logo with the RamseyTrusted logo, but the more consistent and recognizable our brand is, the more your business will benefit! That won’t happen if you decide to add “just a dash of neon green.”
-
Can I add the RamseyTrusted logo to my website?
-
Yes–but only after getting it approved by our team! Send it over to rtmarketingapprovals@ramseysolutions.com before clicking publish.
-
Can I use the logo in my video assets?
-
Yes! Just send any videos or scripts that mention RamseyTrusted or contain our logos to rtmarketingapprovals@ramseysolutions.com first!
-
What logo file do I send to a printer?
-
We've given you a bunch of different file formats that can be downloaded as a zip file. Find the PDF version. That's the format your printer will need.
Marketing and Messaging
-
Why RamseyTrusted . . . not Ramsey Trusted?
-
Short answer? It kind of makes us feel like when Starbucks spells our name wrong.
Longer answer? We’re asking you to make RamseyTrusted one word in your communication with referrals because it helps our goal of keeping the brand cohesive and consistent to the people who interact with it. And we appreciate your help with that goal!
Lawyer answer? The brand name RamseyTrusted—without the space!—is our registered trademark. Writing it out correctly in all uses will let people know you’re legit.
-
Can I use photos of Dave and other Ramsey Personalities from internet searches?
-
No—please use only the approved images provided in our predesigned social and web assets.
-
What’s the Ramsey way to introduce myself?
-
We work hard to keep messaging consistent so when referrals come to you there’s no doubt that you’re one of the pros we recommend. So here are a few phrases you should (and shouldn’t) use in communication with them.
Yup- RamseyTrusted real estate agent
- RamseyTrusted real estate pro
- RamseyTrusted agent
- RamseyTrusted insurance pro
- RamseyTrusted tax pro
- RamseyTrusted CPA
Nope
- I’m a Ramsey ELP.
- I’m a Ramsey Endorsed Local Provider.
- I’m a Dave RamseyTrusted Pro (Dave is the O.G., but the business is called Ramsey Solutions.)
- RamseyTrusted Realtor® (You can be both, but you can’t say them together because lawyers.)
-
How can I promote being RamseyTrusted?
-
Let’s start by telling you how you can’t promote it and that’s on any online paid advertising. Things like boosting a post, Google ads, Facebook or Instagram ad campaigns, etc. If you find yourself paying for it online, you can’t use RamseyTrusted alongside it.
That being said, what you can do is post it on your socials, add it to your website, business cards, client presentations, you can even make a billboard!
Seriously, go nuts with it. Just make sure you send whatever you plan to publish to rtmarketingapprovals@rameysolutions.com -
Can I make my own marketing assets to use on my website or in my office?
-
Yes, but please follow the Logo Guidelines we gave you. That means never altering provided images or assets in any way except for basic resizing. We don’t want to see any weird Photoshop work out there—so email it to rtmarketingapprovals@rameysolutions.com first to get approval.
We also suggest using a local graphic designer to produce any materials you’d like to market. This is a great way to ensure materials look professional and on-brand.
-
Can I use the brand in my business newsletter or client presentations?
-
Yes, go for it! The more reach your designation gets the better!
-
Can I copy content from Ramsey Solutions sites and put it on my own website?
-
No. In fact, Google will penalize our site and your site for duplicate content. Instead, share Ramsey blogs and pages on your social media, include links to our site on your website, or write your own content. People want to hear your unique perspective!
-
Can Ramsey make a radio ad for my business?
-
If you’re a tax or insurance pro, yes! Reach out to your coach and they can give you details about the pricing and the process.
Sorry real estate pros, this is a no-go for you.
-
Can I use pics of Dave to promote my endorsement?
-
You can share your real-life personal photo of you with Dave or the other personalities, on your organic social media, your website, or in a frame in your office!
But do not use photos of Dave for any paid advertising whatsoever. We’re glad you love the pic, and the endorsement. But we can’t allow the image or likeness of Dave or any other personalities on paid promotional or advertising materials.
Plus, we want to build a trusted brand bigger than just Dave—because now Ramsey Solutions is so much bigger than the radio show he started! So we want you to get your clients familiar with Ramsey and the RamseyTrusted brand every chance you get.
(P.S. Don’t Photoshop a pic of you and Dave together, either. That’s weird.)
-
Can I boost a social post about being a RamseyTrusted pro?
-
You cannot use your designation and endorsement for any digital paid media assets. So no boosting posts on social media, no Google ads, nothing.
-
Am I allowed to buy print advertising?
-
Yes—but only after sending what it’ll look like to rtmarketingapprovals@ramseysolutions.com and getting approval. This includes postcards, newspaper or magazine ads, and billboards.
-
Can I write my own blogs or social posts to promote my RamseyTrusted status?
-
Yes. Writing your own content is a great way for people to hear your unique perspective. Refer to the Messaging Guidelines for some do’s and don’ts so that we keep our brand consistent across the board.
Other Stuff
-
What happened to ELP?
-
Long story short—we outgrew it! The name served us well for 30-plus years, but the local part of it isn’t fully true anymore. And we wanted to make it crystal freakin’ clear that this program is part of Ramsey Solutions to give your designation some more weight.
(Plus acronyms are a little annoying.)
-
Can my team use the Ramsey branding?
-
Short answer—no. We personally vetted and designated you as RamseyTrusted—not your team. Making sure that we know and trust the pros we’re recommending is how we build and maintain a world-class trusted brand. This also means the designation holds a lot more weight for you because we don’t give this out to just anybody.
