Frequently Asked Questions

Yep, Dave’s spending the whole week with you onboard!

That means you might run into him at dinner, on the pool deck, in the hallways between events, or during one of the many activities happening throughout the cruise. And when Dave takes the stage, it’s one of the highlights of the week.

But one of the things he loves most is celebrating you—all the people who followed the plan, stayed the course, and changed their family tree.

Want more scheduled time with Dave? VIP and Preferred guests can look forward to Investing Essentials at Sea, an exclusive event hosted by Dave. Guests can also add on EntreLeadership at Sea, a half-day business and leadership experience hosted by John Felkins that wraps up with a live Q&A where Dave answers questions directly.

Yes, we charter the entire ship exclusively for Ramsey cruisers.

So instead of vacationing with thousands of strangers, you’ll spend the week with people who speak the same language—Baby Steps, debt-free screams, paying cash, and building wealth.

It’s the kind of place where talking about money isn’t awkward, generosity is normal, and the people around you just get it. Even the ship’s crew previously called our group the most generous they’d ever had.

That’s what makes this cruise different. And you’ll notice it the moment you board.

Holland America is one of the most respected cruise lines in the world—having been sailing for over 150 years. They are known for delivering a premium cruise experience with exceptional service, great dining, live entertainment, and beautifully designed ships.

The Nieuw Statendam is an award-winning luxury cruise liner large enough to have everything you’d want: multiple restaurants, a spa, a world-class theater, a pool, and more. But it’s small enough so that everything feels accessible and the service feels personal.

Dave Ramsey personally vetted this ship. His team brought options from several cruise lines, and he passed on all of them until Holland America. If you’ve trusted Ramsey’s standards in other areas of your life, you can trust them here too.

The Nieuw Statendam is one of Holland America’s top ships, with multiple restaurants, a world-class spa, a full-scale theater, and a level of service that Dave’s team specifically looked for when choosing a cruise line. Plus, room service and gratuities are included.

But the real difference isn’t just the ship—it’s who’s on it.

We’ve chartered the entire ship exclusively for Ramsey cruisers. That means every conversation, every meal, and every event happens alongside people who’ve made the same sacrifices, followed the same plan, and are celebrating the same kinds of wins as you.

On sea days, the ship transforms into one of the largest Ramsey events anywhere. Programming runs morning to night, with exclusive talks from Dave and the Ramsey Personalities, live episodes of your favorite Ramsey shows, special guest entertainment and more.

You can find other luxury cruises. But this is the only place for this combination of ship, community, and Ramsey experience.

If you’ve paid off your debt, built your emergency fund, and can pay for this trip without putting your other financial goals on hold, you’re exactly who this cruise is designed for.

This isn’t a “treat yourself and figure it out later” kind of vacation. It’s a celebration of the sacrifices you’ve already made and the financial freedom you’ve worked hard to build.

You can reserve your cabin with a $600 deposit per person. Final payment isn’t due until December 2026, giving you plenty of time to budget and save for the rest.

The ship is already 70% sold out, and certain cabin types are gone. If you’re thinking about it, now’s the time to book.

In addition to all of the one-of-a-kind Live Like No One Else Cruise content (talks, concerts, etc.), you also get all the things that make Holland America Line amazing! This includes, but is not limited to, meals (including 24-hour room service, but not meals at the specialty restaurants); noncarbonated, nonalcoholic beverages (coffee, juices, tea, etc.); use of the ship's beautiful pools; and use of the ship's health and fitness center. All gratuities for meals and cabin stewards are covered as well.

The price does not include airfare, ground transportation, onboard purchases (spa services, specialty restaurants, carbonated and bottled beverages, alcoholic beverages, gift shop, etc.), excursions or travel insurance.

Holland America Line does offer drink packages. Please check the Holland America site for more information.

No, you don't. You can reserve your cabin with just a $600 deposit, making it easy to lock in your spot. We accept debit card, personal check, cashier’s check or money order (in U.S. funds).

The remaining balance isn’t due until December 3, 2026. After that date, new reservations will require full payment at the time of booking.

Yes. Kids can live like no one else too! All passengers have access to Holland America Line's youth activities program, Club HAL, which offers an array of entertaining events for kids and teens ages 3–17, supervised by a full-time, professionally trained staff. They'll have an opportunity to join other kids their age for arts and crafts, sports, video game competitions, scavenger hunts, challenging team games and themed parties.

Passengers traveling with children, please note: Passengers 16 years or older will be required to have a photo ID (driver’s license or school ID) along with a certified copy of their birth certificate or a passport card, though passports are strongly recommended. Children under 16 need only a passport, passport card or certified birth certificate.

Yes. For a $100 fee, you can make a change to a cabin reservation through January 13, 2027. No changes will be allowed on or after January 14, 2027.

Additional fees may be assessed by suppliers for connections booked from your home city, as well as forced single occupancy due to roommate cancellation. Those fees charged will be passed to the passenger.

Yes! If the category of cabin you want is sold out, book another category and then contact our cruise partners, Inspiration Travel, at 855-680-0550 to be put on a wait list for the room type you desire. If rooms open up, we will go to the wait list first.

Simply contact Inspiration's Reservation Team and request information about room sharing. They will send you a Room Share Program agreement form to complete and return. This form allows you to specify preferences for potential roommates and gives useful information about traveling with a roommate.

After receiving your completed Room Share Agreement form, you will be placed on the Room Share Program Wait List. Please understand that this is a wait list; therefore, it does not guarantee a Room Share match or reservation.

As other travelers express interest in sharing accommodations, we can begin matching you with a roommate. We can complete the reservation process once both matched travelers confirm the room share.

Note: Filling out a Room Share Agreement does not guarantee a match.

For United States Citizens:

For this cruise, which is a closed-loop sailing (departing from and returning to the same U.S. port), a passport book is not always required; however, we strongly recommend that all travelers obtain and use a valid passport. Having a passport ensures a smoother travel experience and is essential in the event of an emergency that requires you to fly back to the United States from a foreign port.

If you choose to travel without a passport, you must bring an acceptable alternative form of documentation, such as a government-issued birth certificate and a valid driver’s license. Please note that passport cards are not accepted for this purpose.

If traveling with a passport, it must be valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates. For the most up-to-date information on passport requirements, please visit www.state.gov.

For Non-United States Citizens:
All noncitizens of the U.S. must have passports, visas and other documentation normally required for the entry into the country of destination. It is important that you contact the consulate of your citizenship regarding the required documents for the cruise.

You won’t miss out—every guest is assigned to one of three main-session groups, ensuring you’ll experience each speaker at least once during the week. Simply check the daily schedule to see who’s speaking, find your designated show time, and plan your days accordingly. Plus, you can explore additional supplemental sessions throughout the cruise, available on a first-come, first-served basis—so there’s always more to discover if you want to go deeper.

The final schedule will be shared ahead of departure.

We’re always dreaming up what’s next, but there's nothing to announce just yet. If another Live Like No One Else Cruise sets sail, you’ll hear it first on The Ramsey Show, through our emails, and across our social channels. Stay tuned—you won’t want to miss what could be coming.
