When Hillary Scott—a member of Grammy-award winning country hit-makers Lady Antebellum—spoke at my Business Boutique event in November, she gave some really solid advice. One of her takeaways for the women there was about having a mentor, no matter your industry is. She explained that from the time she was young, green and new to the music scene, and even through today, she continues to see the value of having “wise counsel and mentors.”
CEO, author, and Shark Tank personality Robert Herjavec also views mentorship as integral to success. Robert goes so far as saying that if it weren’t for the honesty of his business mentor: “I don’t think I would have fully grasped my potential as an entrepreneur.”
Surrounding yourself with people who’ve got your back is important in every aspect of your life, and especially in business. The thing about being a business (or “side-business”) owner is that you may not have a qualified advisor readily available. Odds are you don’t know a ton of people who have started a business from scratch. You might feel like you’re all alone on your own little island!
Don't lead your business alone. Apply for an Advisory Group.
I’ve heard this time and time again from my readers and Business Boutique event attendees. So in response, my team and I created the Business Boutique Academy! The Academy is an online learning center where you connect directly with me and thousands of other women starting and running their own businesses. I will be offering business mentoring exclusively to Academy members! Once a month, you’ll have direct access to me in a live, online group coaching session. We’ll roll up our sleeves and work through the problems you face in your business!
You’ll also take a monthly Business Health Check assessment, which brings awareness to your weak spots and gives you actionable steps to overcome them. All of this is designed to give you a safe space with honest feedback where you can learn and grow your business!
There is so much waiting for you in the Business Boutique Academy. Come on in and I’ll see you there!
