SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS ANNOUNCED IN DAVE RAMSEY’S

FINANCIAL LITERACY CHALLENGE 

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Dave Ramsey’s Foundations in Personal Finance announces the winners of the college scholarships awarded in The Financial Literacy Challenge, including a $36,000 scholarship. April is National Financial Literacy Month and to celebrate, Dave Ramsey and Fifth Third Bank invited high school students across the country to test their personal finance knowledge by taking an online quiz between April 7 and 24. Any senior scoring 100 percent on the quiz was eligible for the scholarship. The scholarship winners are:

  • Caitlyn Back, senior at Fairhope High School in Fairhope, Ala. for the $36,000 scholarship
  • Kristen Lile, senior at Elizabethtown High School in Elizabethtown, Ky. for the $5,000 scholarship
  • Richard McAllister, senior at Edgerton Senior High School in Edgerton, Wisc. for the $2,500 scholarship

Teachers could also enter a giveaway throughout the month of April to win one of two all-inclusive vacations for two. The winners are:

  • Lindy Hatch, teacher at Summit Academy in Draper, Utah
  • Dena Burgert, teacher at Hermosa Middle School in Farmington, NM

 

Other prizes were given to underclassman and teachers that included Chromebook laptops, gift cards for school supplies and Foundations in Personal Finance curriculum.
