5 Ways to Prepare for Business Boutique

My favorite event of the year is happening next month! My team and I have been planning every last detail to ensure that your time at Business Boutique and experience in Nashville is unforgettable. I can’t wait for you to be here and take in all that we have in store for you!

I want you to make the most of the weekend, because this event is all about you and your dreams. Here are some ways you can prepare for Business Boutique based on recommendations from past attendees and myself!

  1. Pack a sweater or sweatshirt.

I know I’m not the only woman who is always cold! Our venue can be chilly until we’ve all been in the room for a while, so dressing in layers is a good idea. You won’t need your winter parka on inside, but throw a light zip-up sweater or cardigan in your bag just in case.

  1. Bring your business cards.

You’re going to meet thousands of women from all over the country, and they will be genuinely interested in your business! Don’t forget to pack plenty of business cards to hand out and showcase your business.

  1. Get ready to lean in and engage.

I realize not everyone is a super-social extrovert like I am. But this event will be a great place for you ask women who have started their own businesses your burning questions and/or spread the word about your own passions. If you are on the shyer side, try to take a baby step outside of your comfort zone for one weekend and make those connections. I promise it will be worth it!

  1. Be prepared for your breakout sessions.

We have an amazing lineup of main stage speakers, including Dave Ramsey, Hillary Scott, Christine Caine and more, but we also have a ton of breakout sessions with a little something for everyone. Do you want to learn how to successfully use paid Facebook ads? Molly Pittman has a class for that! Looking for some help creating a website that will really connect with your audience? Book Tim Newton’s breakout session. Want to see your sales sky-rocket? Nicole Walters is your girl! Be sure to sign up for your breakout sessions, or if you already have, print your confirmation e-mail and bring it along to keep you on track!

  1. Make new friends before you arrive.

There are a couple ways you can connect with women just like you before the event. First, join our tight-knit Business Boutique Community online. You’ll meet thousands of other women on the same journey you are, and you can help each other out and root each other on. It’s a great place to share ideas and ask questions. Then be sure to sign up for our Business Boutique event app, which goes live just a few days before the event. The only people in this app will be other attendees, so feel free to make dinner or meet-up plans with these potential new friends! There will also be an exclusive Digital Photo Hunt posted in the app to take you through some of my favorite spots in Nashville. Watch your email inbox for details on how to download.

I can’t wait to see you in just a few weeks! And if you still need to purchase tickets, you can get them here before we sell out!

Say What They’re Thinking

Here’s a scenario that happens all the time. I bust into Jeremy’s office (my leader) and shout excitedly and entirely too loud, “Hey Jeremy! I know I have 500 ideas a minute, and I know I drive you crazy with my never-ending ideas, but I think this can be a good one. What do you […]
